Hi I'm Pryce

I'm from Wyoming and I love mountains, lakes, rivers, and the outdoors in general. I love Math and teaching. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a small town in Wyoming and grew up doing activities outdoors. I love to camp, fish, hike, climb, and pretty much anything else you do in the mountains. I have six siblings and two loving parents. I'm finishing up college by doing student teaching in the fall. I can't wait to become a Math teacher. I love to read books as well as come up with interesting stories to write. I've worked a lot of different jobs, including working at an auto parts store, a hotel, and serving tables. I'm married to a wonderful, crafty wife who does amazing things. I'm really just an average guy living a wonderful life.

Why I am a Mormon

Sometimes it feels as though everyone I know is Mormon. They are not, but I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I associate with a lot of Mormons. However, my beliefs do not lie in complacency. To me, one of the greatest treasures in life is truth. I absolutely love to learn. I love Mathematics because of the endless possibilities and the way it can describe the world around us. I love Science and the Liberal Arts because of the interpretation of the world they give to us. Great literature can shed light on new perspectives and broaden my horizons. Yet for all the great things I can learn in this world there is one thing that I have learned that trumps them all. That truth is the knowledge I have gained of my Savior. The knowledge that Jesus the Christ truly did live and really did suffer for my sins. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that Christ still lives and still leads us. That is why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because it is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that I can learn the most crucial truths in the universe. It is in this church that I know I can find a way to become more like my Savior every day. In the end I am a Mormon because of truth, knowledge, learning, and faith.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a Sunday School teacher. I love diving into the scriptures and finding hidden truths that apply to me and the people I teach. Currently we are studying from the Old Testament which is very exciting. There are so many great stories and examples from which we can learn. I love finding new ideas in something I've read over and over again. Taking those ideas I love to see when other people have "aha" moments and find a personal truth they didn't have before. I also love to help and serve others. I feel like I get more out of it than the people I serve. Growing up in Wyoming we would often chop wood for other people or help them hay or other necessities. Now that I'm in college I still look for ways that I can help other people, especially in their basic needs. Whether I'm helping someone learn math for free, changing a tire, or helping someone move, I've found light and joy enter my life through serving others.
