Hi I'm Doug

I grew up on a farm in Rush Valley, Utah (about an hour SW of Salt Lake City). I enjoy all sports and love sci-fi movies.

About Me

I am a lawyer by trade and an avid sports fan by choice. I spend most of my free time taking my kids to baseball/softball practices or watching their ballgames.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has given me lots of opportunities to serve others. I have found that serving others is one of the keys to being happy. My entire family has benefited from the service opportunities provided through the Church. My family is closer and stronger because of our activity in the Church.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church meetings on Sunday with my family and participate with other members of my church in activities during the week. I loved spending time with my family as a child and I am doing all that I can to try to provide the same atmosphere for my children that I enjoyed as a child. I know that children learn by example, I have made the conscious choice to be available to my children as much as possible with the hope that I can be the example that my children choose to emulate. This means that my wife and I do our best to be involved in the things that interest our children, even if it just means showing up to watch them play ball.
