Hi I'm Sister Rongthong (Belle)

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for more than 10 years. Now, I am a full-time missionary.

About Me

I was born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I live with my parents and my siblings. I have a younger sister and a younger brother. I love listening to music and singing. I love cooking and baking as well. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii last year (April, 2015). Right now, I am a full-time missionary, serving in Australia Brisbane Mission. These 18 months will be the most memorable experience of my life. I will do my very best to "invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end."

Why I am a Mormon

I used to be a very active Catholic member. I followed my mother's belief. I attended the Catholic's school as well. In 2001, my family's life started to change (in the positive way) when my mother accepted the Gospel. Because of her courage, we know the true meaning of happiness. At first, my father did not want to join the Church. My mother and I prayed so hard for him. A year later, he sent two wonderful angels (best missionaries ever!!!) to help my father. My parents used to be very addicted to coffee and liquor. I was very surprised that they obeyed the Word of Wisdom right after being taught. I testify that through faith, anything is possible. Being a Mormon doesn't mean that our lives are perfect, we learn and we apply what we have learned to attain eternal life.

How I live my faith

Serving the Lord as a full-time missionary (18 months) is how I live my faith right now. This is the best decision I have ever made. I have learned a lot from my companion and other missionaries around me. I used to compare myself to others and thought that I was not worthy enough to be called, 'a servant of the Lord' because I lacked of confidence and knowledge. I prayed and asked the Lord for guidance. Later, He helped me to realize that being a good missionary doesn't mean that we have to know everything. Missionaries teach people with the Holy Ghost and people will trust in missionaries and have desires to learn more because of their testimonies and some spiritual experiences.
