Hi I'm Amanda Jane

I've been A Mormon since the day I was born, and I plan on staying one till the day I die.

About Me

Hi! for starters, I am a writer! Magic, dragons, spells and sword fighting, that's the kind of stuff I dream about, so that's exactly what I write about. I share my stories with my friends, and they must be good because my friends are always chasing me to write more. I LOVE books, Fantasy books take the medal, but every now and then I'll read a good clean romance novel, my favorites are Percy Jackson, (for those who are curious I'm a daughter of Apollo) Hero's of Olympus, Michael Vey, Fablehaven, and, you get the drill. I have five siblings, and I'm smack in the middle of four boys, two older, two younger, then an older sister, who is currently serving a mission in New York for the church. I'm a bit silly,..okay A LOT silly, most people are a bit alarmed when they meet me because I'm not scared to be who I am, even when who I am is a crazytastic goober. I love to perform. acting is what I'm best at, I've been in 5 different plays, including rocking Beatrice in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. I'm a bit stubborn, but I'm incredibly loyal and I love helping others. (especially when their a little shy and they don't want to be) I enjoy swimming, and pretty much anything that has to do with water, and I'm a fan of practical jokes, (for example putting a piece of tape at the top of a door way for someones face to walk through.) anyway, I love my friends, I love my family, and I love me! thanks for checking me out !- ;)

Why I am a Mormon

Gee where do I begin? For starters, this church just makes sense. so many other churches don't have answers to all the questions there are, and even our standards make sense, don't drink or smoke, we have clean and healthy bodies. don't have sex before marriage, how many young mothers are out there taking care of fatherless babies? and people say that our rules limit our options, but in truth they give us thousands of options, more then we would have if we chose to ignore those truths. even if I didn't believe in what the church taught I would still follow those standards, because they help me and others live our lives to the fullest and happiest. and if the church is right about how we should live our lives, how could it be wrong about WHY we're living our lives? this church has been a blessing to me and my family for as long as I can remember, and even longer considering I'm only 15. :P my family loves each other, we spend time with one another and we enjoy each others company. does this mean we're perfect? no, far from it actually. one of my favorite sayings is, "the church is perfect, the people aren't." we all make mistakes, but we're all trying. I'm a Mormon because I feel its truth, and I love all of it. I'm a member because men have died to get this gospel to us, and others went through hell to reach it. this church is true, I guarantee it.

How I live my faith

I serve as an adviser for the young woman in our ward. I come up with activity's, provide assistance, as well as making sure the class president doesn't feel overwhelmed with her responsibility's. I do service for the church and community when ever the opportunity arises, the Saturday before last I went with my mom and siblings to go clean up a local school and baseball diamond.
