Hi I'm Marcus Arroyo

I love sports and being with friends and family. I'm a missionary in the Texas San Antonio Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and currently serving a 2 year mission in the great state of Texas. I love playing and watching any sport with a scoreboard, being with my family and friends and listening to basically any music that sounds good. I love learning new things and helping other people. I can be pretty funny every once in a while, but sometimes humor just wears me out and I need to take a break. I decided to leave home to serve a mission because I love Jesus Christ and want others to learn of His gospel, and I believe no sacrifice is too great to bring people closer to God. I want people to be happy, and I have learned through experience that true happiness comes by living the gospel, and I want everybody to know that. I love my Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. I love my family and friends. I love the gospel and I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's church reorganized on the earth today. I know this by research and reasoning, but I REALLY know it by the confirmation of the Holy Ghost. I have undeniably felt the Spirit confirm within my soul that the scriptures are true, that God loves me, that Jesus died for me and for all of us, that Joseph Smith received the authority of God to restore Christ's church, and that because of the Priesthood authority of God we can be sealed in a temple with our families for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

I believe that "faith without works is dead", in the words of the scriptures (James 2:17), so by keeping the commandments, continuously repenting and serving others, I live my faith. Serving a mission has helped my live my faith by allowing me to tell others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has put me in a position to serve, inspire and uplift those around me. I just try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and help others do the same, knowing that I'm not perfect and that I mess up, but that "I can do all things through Christ which strenghtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Marcus Arroyo
Mormon missionaries like me proselyte because we want you to know something. This something that we want you to know is that God loves each and every one of us because we are His children. He has reached out to us and called another prophet to lead and guide His church, which was restored through Joseph Smith. You can join this church and receive countless blessings you never thought were possible. You will know this by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to your Heavenly Father. In short, we proselyte because we love God and we love you. Show more Show less
