Hi I'm MaKia

I love to play soccer and tennis. I love my family and my missionary serving in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play soccer and tennis for my high school teams. I love being on student council and being involved with the community. I love spending time with my friends and getting to know new people. I want to pursue a career in pharmacology and to become a loving wife and mother of my future husband and children. Family is very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were Mormon when I was born so I followed suit and became one as well. My father has became inactive currently so my mother is the one who takes us to church and teaches us what she knows about the gospel. I want to help my father to come back to the church so he and my mother can be sealed for all eternity in the temple with me and my sisters. I know that through diligence and faith that anything can be accomplished. I have already seen a change in my father which makes me hope that someday my wish will come true. I know that families are forever and that is all I want for my family now and my future family. The odds of my parents being able to come with me to the temple when I want to be married to my husband are slim, so I had to make the decision now that I will be married in the temple. It is very important to me to have the security that my husband and I will be together forever.

How I live my faith

I love being involved with my ward. I currently serve as a ward missionary and the bulletin specialist. I have been class presidents and have served on our school's seminary council my junior year in high school. My testimony has grown immensely when my boyfriend of two years left for his mission to the Philippines. The faith and strength in the gospel I have comes from his amazing example. He makes me want to become more like our Savior by serving others and putting them first.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

MaKia
Mormons know that families can be together forever. Our loving Heavenly Father wants all of his children to return to live with Him again. He also wants the families we have here on earth to be together in heaven as well. When we are married and sealed in the temple, we are bound together forever. We will see our family members again in heaven. Show more Show less
