Hi I'm Bryan Engstrom

I grew up in Draper Utah. I love everything BYU. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am an older brother to 7 siblings, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. I love watching football, and I enjoy any chance I get to play. I am currently serving in the Calgary Canada mission, and doing my best to learn the finer details of hockey. I have loved serving in Calgary and other parts of Southern Alberta, and I can promise that you will not find better people anywhere on earth. I am a firm believer in putting your faith into action, and in taking chances to achieve your dreams. I was grateful for the opportunity I had to attend BYU before coming out on a mission, and I have been blessed to be surrounded by friends who live what they believe. I am grateful for examples of those, whether or not they are members of this church, who live what they believe. When I return home I hope to continue at BYU, and to do my best to continue to be surrounded by greatness.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church, very simply put, brings me happiness. In this life each of us has to determine what our desires truly are. My greatest desire is to have an eternal family, develop strong relationships with others, and have a life grounded upon positive principles. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches me what I can do to achieve my goals. I have had experiences that have confirmed to me that this church is true. Everyone who seeks with real intent is entitled to similar experiences that will be clear and life changing. I love this church with all of heart, and through the spirit I have learned that this is the same church Christ established while He was here on the earth! For anyone who feels like they can not receive an answer for themselves, or feels that if they did they would not recognize the answer anyway; my advice to you is to consider what you want most in this life. If what you seek for above all is peace and happiness, then take a leap of faith and see if this church can help you to gain what you truly desire!

How I live my faith

I have been grateful for the opportunity to serve a mission. There are few things more rewarding then being able to interact with good people, and to exchange positive beliefs. No matter what beliefs people have, everyone in some way walks by faith. It is a precious experience to act in accordance with a true belief, and then to see the blessings that come from it. Whether or not we describe our blessings in a Christian way, we all can see the results that come from loving one another and making correct decisions. Decisions determine our destiny, and when we have a belief in God, that knowledge can influence our actions for the positive. My hope while serving as a missionary is that I might be able to add some clarity and comfort to people's lives. This clarity comes as we discover ourselves in the midst of God’s perfect plan. There is power that comes from living by faith, and anyone who is willing to show even a small amount of trust in God, will always find that He can do more with their life then they can. I know that God lives, and I am always anxious to share how I have seen His influence in my life.
