Hi I'm Jordon

I am a Mormon. U.S Army Veteran. 19K M1A2 Abrams Tank Crew Member!

About Me

I'm a Eagle Scout. I have served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a 19K M1A2 Abrams Tank Crew member, I was Stationed at Fort Stewart Georgia, I been deployed to Afghanistan for 9 months. I love to plays sports such as football, soccer, basketball, tennis and golf. I also enjoy reading books. I like to play video games as well. The thirteenth Article of Faith 13: We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. May God bless everyone!

Why I am a Mormon

Why Not? Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. I have read the Book of Mormon, and the promise given in Moroni 10:3-5 will enable you to know the truth for yourself as well.

How I live my faith

I was a young men adviser at my ward. I like to participate in scouting. I also enjoy doing my home teaching route, allow me to get know people better. This enable to grew my faith as I had many times throughout the week to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others! Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. All that I do is to give Glory to my Heavenly Father.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jordon
The Atonement took place in the garden of Gethsemane and when he was crucified on the cross, where he took upon himself all of our sins, transgression, pains, and afflictions. Jesus Christ paid this price so that we could use the enabling power of the Atonement to over come sins, to overcome our natural man and to be as our Savior, or as Jesus Christ taught in Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect. (Alma 34:13-17) 13 Therefore, it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice, and then shall there be, or it is expedient there should be, a stop to the shedding of blood; then shall the law of Moses be fulfilled; yea, it shall be all fulfilled, every jot and tittle, and none shall have passed away. 14 And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law, every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice; and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal. 15 And thus he shall bring salvation to all those who shall believe on his name; This Being about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance. 16 And thus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice, and encircles them in the arms of safety,.... 17 ...that ye may begin to exercise faith unto repentance... Without the Atonement, we would be exposed to the whole law of the demands of justice. Show more Show less
