Hi I'm McKenna Wright

I love music, Harry Potter, and rain. I've been dancing for 11 years. I'm serving a mission in Taiwan Taipei, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah but almost immediately moved to Boston, then two years later moved to Florida. I consider myself a Florida girl at heart. I moved to Nevada for high school and graduated valedictorian. I have completed one year at BYU and danced on the International Folk Dance team. I have been dancing competitively since I was 8, music is what my soul is made of. I have two little brothers and one little sister who are the most awesome examples to me. They keep me going because I hope I can be a good example for them. The best examples in my life are my parents, they are just super stars in every way. I've been a member all my life and there are few things I love more than chocolate and the gospel. I love quoting movies and traveling. I love my friends and family more than anything in the whole world. I am currently serving a full-time mission speaking Chinese in Taiwan and it's the best!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides the truth and contains every single thing any of us need to be happy in this life. There are so many times in my life when I have had struggles that I didn't think I could overcome, trials from outside circumstances or personal weaknesses. Every time I think I have no where to turn or that no one understands me, I KNOW that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ know exactly 100% what I am feeling. They know what all of us are feeling, at any point of any day of our entire lives. Whenever I feel that my weaknesses are too big to overcome and I can't do anything the right way, I can remember that I am still loved anyway. I know that we are all loved unconditionally by the most all-powerful, all-knowing, glorious being in the universe. And I know that because we are offered this unconditional, perfect love, we need to do the things that God wants us to do. I know that the teachings of this church are absolutely and perfectly true. No, we may not understand why certain things are the way we are, but I rely on the knowledge that God knows and understands everything we need to be happy and because I know He exists, I can place my trust in Him. I know that through the Book of Mormon, we can have all of our questions answered. I know that God offers us everything we need to return to Him, but I also know that we must do our part. We have to put our whole heart and soul and everything that makes us who we are into following His teachings. Because I have done this and continue to do this everyday, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by letting the light of the gospel shine through me. I live my faith by abiding by the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love others and serve others and hope to help them feel Christ's love for them through the things that I do and say. I love uplifting other people through kind words and deeds. I love inviting people to participate in church activities. In the past I have helped teach gospel classes and organized youth activities. I live my faith by learning what Jesus Christ is like and then striving to do the things He would do. I live my faith by serving a full-time mission in the beautiful land of Taiwan and sharing this happy message with others.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

McKenna Wright
Missionaries proselyte and share the gospel because we know that what we believe in brings people happiness, the most pure and powerful happiness we can experience in this life. It brings us light and we want to share it with others. We know that there are people who are looking for something more in their life and just don't know what it is or where to find it. It is our goal to find those people and bring them the knowledge and happiness that God wants us all to have. Show more Show less
