Hi I'm Bradley Richins

I'm from Kamas, Utah. I'm 18 years old. I'm currently serving in the England London South Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. Football and basketball were my favorite things to do in high school. In my free time, I currently enjoy just spending time with friends and family and living the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I've been very blessed in my life to have known so many wonderful people who have had such positive impacts on me. I have a lovely family and many great friends who I am fortunate to have in my life. I'm now serving a Mission in the England London South Mission and I love serving people and The Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons as to why I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The reason that us Mormons believe that this is Christ's only true church here on the Earth is because: 1. We have the Book of Mormon and The Bible. These two books are testaments of Jesus Christ and prove that he lives. They also teach us the way to be able to live in God's presence again after this mortal life. 2. We have the Priesthood. After Christ and his apostles were killed, The Priesthood was taken from the Earth. The next period of time after this happened is known as the Dark Ages. We believe that this period of time was know for its darkness because there was no light/truth on the Earth. Hence why no inventions or anything came about during this time. Then in the year of 1820, a man named Joseph Smith prayed to God in a little grove of trees in the woods in New York. He saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. The Priesthood, or God's Power on the Earth, was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph also translated the Book of Mormon through Revelation from God. 3. We have sacred Temples where we perform sacred ordinances. 4. We have missionaries who travel the globe and declare his gospel. 5. We have modern day prophets who speak to us in General Conference twice a year in Salt Lake City. 6. And lastly, we have the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We believe that through Christ, we can ALL be forgiven of our sins and mistakes.I testify of that truth. I have personally partaken of this gift to us. I testify that no matter what we have done, we can always be forgiven. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the commandments and following the standards that our church has set out. I found out quickly that the principles that we live by don't restrict us-they free us. They keep us in line with what God and The Lord Jesus Christ want us to accomplish and become during this mortal life. I enjoy attending our church meetings on Sunday and attending the sacred temples whenever I get the chance. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the youth in our church meet on Tuesday nights and occasionally help out the community by doing a service project for something or someone. Participating in these activities is really fun!
