Hi I'm Jen Shirk

Grew up in Colorado. Divorced with three kids.

About Me

I love to serve others, garden, listen to music, cross stitch. I am a mom of three wonderful kids. I will be a full time student in the fall. I am divorced, temple worthy, active in mid singles activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I am a child of god. I know my father in heaven is proud of me and answers my prayers. There is a peace that the gospel brings, that i cannot describe. I have gone thru many trials, and turning away from the church seems so easy, but there is something about this church that I cannot let go of. I know that the prophet and church leaders receive inspiration from or heavenly father. I am thankful for my trials as they have shaped me into the person i am today, and although painful, have helped me grow and prioritize my life. There have been many people in this church who have served me and ministered to me. Random acts of kindness, calls in the middle of the day, and dropped everything to come to my aid. I am thankful to the missionaries, both elders and sisters, who have kept me on the straight an narrow path. I am thankful for my kids. I always try to tell them they have a purpose, and that the church is what we need. The scriptures are definitely powerful, and keep us safe from sin. As we grow stronger to heavenly father he will continue to bless us and our paths and days will be bright and happy. I love my family, even though they are not members of the church. I have been blessed with a selfless and awesome Bishop who has carried me thru my recent trials with grace, understanding, and kindness. I know that thru my faithfulness everything will turn out fine as long as I listen to the spirit and cast evil out.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others. Do not currently have a calling, but hope to have one soon. I am a visiting teacher, and active in relief society.
