Hi I'm Tanner

I grew up in Idaho. I'm 19 years old. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a new high school graduate. I love spending time in the mountains of Idaho. I ski, mountain bike, fish, and camp. I have 5 brothers and a sister, and I am the youngest. I have 8 nieces and 4 nephews and I absolutely love spending time with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon but for a period in my life I wasn't truly converted. As I slowly moved further and further from the church I lost something. Although I did things that were fun for me and I tried to make the most of everything, I wasn't truly happy. I had lost the joy that I used to feel when I was active in the church, and I really missed it. I decided I wanted it back and started reading the Book of Mormon again. I started praying to my Heavenly Father too. And I developed a relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ. I gained a testimony, a knowledge, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on the earth today. God the father lives and he sent his son Jesus Christ to come to earth to atone for our sins. Through him we can repent for any wrong we have done and return to our Heavenly Father's presence. After Christ's death there was an apostasy and the priesthood was taken from the earth. But I know that Joseph Smith restored the church to the earth again by God's direction. He translated the Book of Mormon, I have read it and prayed to my Heavenly Father to know of its truthfulness, he answered my prayers. He answers all of our prayers. We can talk to him. I know that Jesus Christ was resurrected and lives. By him and through him we can repent and return to live with God. I know these things are true. And I promise that if you read the Book of Mormon, and Pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ to know if it's true your prayers will be answered. And you too will know the joy that this gospel brings. This simple testimony means the world to me. I am so grateful for it. And I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I have the great opportunity to teach the 10 year olds of our ward. Even though I am their teacher I feel like they teach me so much more. Right now I am preparing to serve a mission in Thailand for 2 years!
