Hi I'm Cole

I was born and raised in Utah. I enjoy all kinds of sports. I also enjoy music and playing my guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like a variety of sports from college football to Formula One Racing. I also enjoy music and playing my guitar. I have been playing for about 6 years on and off. Another one of my favorite things to do is to go hiking. Some of my favorite hikes include the backpacking trip to Havasupai and Angel's Landing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a variety of reasons. The first of which is because of the community. Every member of the ward is incredibly supportive to not only me but also to every other member new or old. If anyone runs into trouble someone from the ward is there to help. Whether it's showing up to the hospital for a sick or injured member, or helping someone with their lawn if they are unable to for themselves. It's not only this amazing community but the happiness that this gospel brings me when I live by its principles. Many view the standard of doing things such as not drinking alcohol, or avoiding drugs as limiting and restrictive. This is far from it. The commandments and principles we live by are there for us to have the happiest lives on this earth possible. Christ atoned for the sins of the world, and by accessing the power of His Atonement I am at peace. I am a Mormon because the members and the principles I live by make me happy.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a two year mission and because of this the ward has called me to teach the youth in my ward. I teach the 16 year old age group and I have come to really enjoy it. They are now old enough to where they can hear and understand different viewpoints and have begun to form opinions about the world that are less influenced by something like their parents. This means that the questions they ask can be complicated. For example one of them asked me what happens if parents get divorced, but are still sealed in the temple. I wasn't sure how to answer it mostly because I had never thought of it before. But questions like that keep me on my toes, and when I read the scriptures I look for the answers to their questions or any potential questions they might have. That is how I live my faith.
