Hi I'm Rachel

I love to sing, smile, and teach karate. I'm currently serving in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What I love more than anything is singing. I have such a strong testimony of the power of music. I love theater, especially from the backstage tech point of view and I could talk about it for hours. I love showtunes and seeing plays and musicals. I also teach karate to a wide range of ages every week. I've been teaching for 9 years. I'm currently serving as a missionary in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia mission and I'm loving every second of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the peace and the joy that living the restored gospel brings to my life. I find so much comfort in knowing that I can turn to my Heavenly Father in prayer at any time and that He's there listening. I'm a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father loves me and that having a sure foundation in Christ's church has led and guided me through all things. I know that Heavenly Father and Christ are there to support me through all things, big and small.

How I live my faith

Everyday I look for opportunities to serve the people around me in what ever way I can. My goal at the end of the day is to feel like I've acted in such a way that people want to know Christ because they know me. I love sharing the joy of the gospel with others. It makes me so happy that it would be selfish of me to keep such an incredible gift to myself. I know it is important to teach by example, so I always strive to do things that would make my Savior proud.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Rachel
Giving 10%, or paying tithing, shows Heavenly Father that we're going to rely on Him. We're showing Him that we know that he'll look after us and bless us for our sacrifice. It's an outward expression of our faith. Show more Show less
