Hi I'm Josh

I love to have a good time, to work and to serve, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Having recently graduated from high school, I have been accepted into BYU-Provo, and plan to attend that school as a prerequisite to medical school. The reason I want to go into medical school is so that I can help others overcome physical challenges, as doctors have done for me. When I was 15 years old, I was crushed by a 1,800 lbs. steel beam, and was left in the hospital for three weeks with incredible brain trauma. I would have been killed, but the doctors saved my life. After being injured, I thought I would never be able to do any sports again, but through the grace of God, I was able to be healed. Since the time I was hurt, I have received my Eagle Scout award, been an officer in the national honors society, graduated with honors, and plan on continuing with my academic goals. I would not be able to physically or mentally be able to do what I have done, but God has been my support. I am now serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sharing what I know with others. I love serving other people, and hope to bring happiness to as many people's lives as possible!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because it is the most valuable thing to me to continue to strengthen my relationship with God and all others. When good things come my way, I take hold of them and use those things to improve my character and situation as I see it. The Gospel has allowed me to see things in ways I would never be able to otherwise. This Gospel allows for the Holy Spirit, or the messenger of God, to give constant guidance on how to live a good life. My goal and hope in life is to make an impact significantly enough on others that they will be changed. That is what life is about for me: changing for the better, one step back and two steps forward, that continual change that builds your soul until you are more than just another person. It builds you so that you can be you, in your perfect, loving, giving, diligent, intelligent, and hopeful estate. That's why I am a Mormon, because I know that it perfects me and the ones I love.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a mission for the my church, bringing others closer to Christ because I know it is right. I go to Church every Sunday and covenant, or promise, that I will try to become a better person every day. My belief in Christ builds every aspect of who I am, as I strive to become more like Him in every way. I try to be kind to others in all that I do, serve them in every way possible, and just love everyone! Something that brings me closer to Christ is when I talk to other people and begin to know them and understand them. When I truly understand people, I'm able to love them, and that is why I am dedicating two years of my life to serve the Lord.
