Hi I'm Donna

I'm a Mormon and I love to do genealogy.

About Me

I'm a mother of 2 teenage daughters. I love doing my genealogy. My favorite singer is Stevie Nicks.

Why I am a Mormon

My father, his parents and siblings are all Mormons. I didn't become a member of the church until 1989. I was missing something in my life but didn't know what it was. I went to church with friends that were of different faiths, but I still felt empty. I called a number to have missionaries come to visit me. After my second lesson, the emptiness was gone. After my sixth lesson I was baptized and confirmed as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My life has been full and I never felt empty again.

How I live my faith

I help in my community by co-teaching N.A.M.I Basic classes. Giving support and tools that parents/caregivers need for a child with a mental illness or showing signs of a mental illness. I'm not a counselor or doctor. I also help others start their genealogy (family tree). Helping others in this way is important to me. The scriptures say to be charitable. Charity is also giving of one self's time and knowledge. In doing this, I stay close to my Heavenly Father and my faith.
