Hi I'm Bryce Terry

I grew up in Stansbury Park, Utah. All about that soccer and basketball life! Huge BYU fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of three children, and the youngest of almost all of my cousins. So naturally I would get called the baby of the family. Ever since I was 5 years old I loved the beautiful game (soccer/football). My dad played college soccer and so he got me to play soccer when I was really young. From the first kick I felt like that it was an awesome sport. I also loved basketball and those two sports would end up being my life. When I turned 16 with my parents help, I bought my car, Karen. I love that car and love driving it. After high school I went to BYU for college for a couple of semesters, and loved it! And currently I put college on hold to serve a mission for 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the completeness of it's gospel. I grew up a Mormon, but at eventually I had to find out for myself if this was the true church of God. My whole life I had heard that if you just read the Book of Mormon and pray to God he will answer your prayer. I had read a little in the Book of Mormon, but I had never read it with the question to know if it was truly a book of God like the bible. So I read it intently to know and would pray before and after reading that book each day. This time I loved what I was reading and I felt so much closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. The more I read it the more I felt like that it was the most "correct book" than any other book on the earth, until I came to the point where I knew that it was truly inspired of God. Because of that I know that the Book of Mormon is scripture of God and that Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored that same gospel that Jesus Christ had set up. Ever since then I have read the Bible along with the Book of Mormon, and they fit together so well that this has to be the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Growing up I knew that I was a Mormon and that meant living a certain standard. That meant in junior high when I first really got confronted with other lifestyles, I would have to choose if I was going to be the same person at school that I was on Sundays. I decided then that there are priorities that mean more than fitting in with others. Those priorities guided me through high school. That has led me to where I am now. I have dedicated two years of life to spread the message of Jesus Christ and His gospel. I want everyone to have this great blessing in their lives just like my family and myself!

What is being a Mormon like?

Bryce Terry
It's pretty much the best! Because you know where you came from, why you are here, and where your gonna be after this life. You get to learn about the potential you have as being a son or daughter of God. You get to learn about Jesus Christ not only in the bible, but from the Book of Mormon. I understand the Atonement so much better with that additional help from the Book of Mormon. Whenever I have challenges I can turn to that book and read about Him. It is also pretty awesome to hear from a living prophet, just like in the Bible! He gives us council to continually coming closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
