Hi I'm Melissa Newman

I'm a massage therapist. I'm an artist. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've attended two years at university, studying illustration and eight months at massage therapy school. I greatly love and appreciate the body and the connections that are made between body, mind and spirit. I enjoy having my eyes opened to all the information and knowledge and beauty the world has to offer, through art, music, massage, animals, plants and most of all, people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love expanding. I love having the opportunities to fulfill my potential as a daughter of God. I love always learning and growing and improving myself to become the person that my Father in Heaven knows I can become. This gospel gives me hope. I have hope because I know that everything will work out. I know that we are here to experience hard things. I know we are here to do the best we can do. I know that through Christ we are saved. Christ is my Savior. I know he loves me and everybody. I love having the opportunity of associating with so many people. And learning how to associate with people, and serve them and love them. I am in awe at the incomprehensible love that the Lord has for us. And with that love comes a hope—a hope that we will always be loved. A hope that we are always wanted and worthwhile. I know that this gospel is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know the teachings of the prophets are true. I know Joseph Smith restored this gospel to the earth. I know that the Lord works through people. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and wants us to be with him again. And I say these things in my saviors name, Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Perviously, I have served in my church by playing the piano or organ during church services. I have also served as a group leader for organizing and planning activities. I will be serving an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, bringing people of the state of Georgia to the knowledge of this gospel and the blessings and happiness is brings.
