Hi I'm Elder Onatin

I am the second oldest of 2 sisters and 2 brothers. from Philippines, were not identical. i am more good looking and i am Mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving as full time missionary in New Zealand Hamilton Mission! known as the Land of the Long White Cloud. i absolutely love painting and drawing, reading, biking, playing Basketball and Football etc. I love food.. especially Burger and pizza! i also love staying in shape and keeping fit! i worked at a gym in Bacolod Philippines and loved it! i got heaps of very contrasting love, but i love all of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church under the direction of my Father and my Uncle. my mom is a convert of the Church. it wasn't until i was 14 years old however, when my own personal conversion began, i was in the meeting or we can say a Family home evening at my house with the Area Seventy and Stake leaders at the time, i was expressing my own experience as a Deacon of the Church and concerns in my life. towards the end of that meeting, my Stake President ask me if i could share my testimony to them so i did. at the moment i don't even know what to say but i know in my heart that the Spirit was there and i did felt it. My own testimony began to Strengthen and i know that this Church is true. I am a Mormon because i have a firm Testimony of Jesus Christ and The Book Of Mormon. the Teachings of this Gospel help me, everyday and ready to face challenges. and now i am a full time missionary serving the Lord and i am happy for it.

How I live my faith

Although i have been a member my whole life. I've needed to learn the Gospel and become converted. most of my friends are not member of the Church and they belong to different religion. but i am just grateful to my lovely parents who taught me how to work hard and encouraging me to attend seminary and institute class. i got my answer there my fondest desire is to share it to everyone. I'll GO wherever he ask me to go, I'll DO whatever he ask me to do, and I'll SAY whenever he ask me to say, because i love the Lord.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Elder Onatin
The Scriptures declared, if ye have desires to serve God, ye are called to the Work. A person who received the Priesthood of God especially the Young men are expected to serve a mission. because it is a great opportunity to them to proclaim the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and get to know themselves, Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Young women can prepare also, but they are not under the same mandate to serve as the Young men did. however, whether they serve as full time missionary or not. they still have the privilege to use their strength and testimony to bless others.
