Hi I'm Jake Jordan

I live in Southern California, I'm a Musician, a Sound Designer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jake Jordan. I am currently 23 Years old and for as long as I can remember I have struggled with Bipolar 1, a mood disorder that has effected my life in a positive way. Yes I struggle with my emotions, but because of this I have learned so much about who I am as a child of god and what my mind is capable of. I fell in love with the piano at around age six, by nine, I had stopped taking lessons. About a year later I sat down at the piano and could not see what I had once before, so I began lessons again until I graduated high school. I played Keyboard, Rhythm Guitar, Lead and Back Up Vocals. in a band named The Feal for what seemed like forever, but we were too caught up in being perfect that we never played a single show. Playing music saved my life. Because of this I have not given up on on my dreams and continue to write Alternative Pop music while I also Compose. I am currently a Sound Designer/Composer for an Indie Video Game that aims to come out on PS4, PC and possibly the Oculus Rift by the end of next year. I am currently studying at Moorpark University in Southern California.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints because I have found through personal revelation that Jesus Christ does live and that he is the son of a living God, that God is our Heavenly Father and that he loves us more than we could ever imagine, that Christ took ALL of our sins upon himself so that one day we can live with him again, that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his beloved son and that through him Jesus Christ's gospel can stand again upon this earth after the great apostasy and in the latter days.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by utilizing the atonement daily. I am not perfect and have far to many flaws to name, but I have learned through my experiences while I was not a member of this church, the strength and immense importance of the atonement. I have been an active member for about 7 months now and try my best to do the things that will help me be happy. These things include reading my scriptures and praying daily as well as magnifying my calling which is to pick out the hymns for our sunday meetings. I enjoying making new friends that have the same ideals and values as me by going to my ward activities. I also enjoy going out with the missionaries whenever I get the chance.
