Hi I'm Brian

I'm an accountant and I like to count things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For a living, I'm an accountant. From a young age, I've enjoyed counting things. I count stairs as I go up or down them. When I look at the ceiling, I count the lights and the ceiling tiles. One year when I was a teenager, I even counted every time I sneezed for the entire year! (I got to 476, by the way.) At work I've counted money, counted inventory, and even counted school kids. When I'm with my family, I'm constantly counting my six children - to make sure none are missing. But what counts most to me is my family and my relationship with God. I like when others can count on me to do something or to serve someone.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when I obey what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches, I am happier than when I do anything else. I feel more energy when I live the church teachings and I know that is the Holy Ghost saying it is true. I have prayed to know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I have received a confirming witness to my soul that it is true. I feel it very strongly and I get so excited for others to learn about the Gospel and the Church. I'm so grateful that I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the Book of Mormon every day. I love its teachings. I try to be humble and to help and serve other people. I try to set a good example for others. I truly believe that through our Savior Jesus Christ, good will come of whatever happens to us. I try to remind myself of that each day. I also try to help others to remember this truth and to discover this faith. It makes me so happy when I get the chance to be involved in and see another person's faith increase through their actions. I try to be obedient to God's commandments and do what He would want me to do. This is how I show my faith.
