Hi I'm Kate

I'm a perpetual student. I love crafting and Batman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a junior in college for about four years now, but there is an end in sight! New motherhood, a stubborn determination to craft, and a love of video games and TV are slowing my school progress, but I'll get there someday. I'd like to one day write professionally from a home office that would no doubt double as a sewing room and nursery, but in the meantime, I read, crochet, study, and learn how to Mom from my new babe.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been a member all my life, being a Mormon is a core piece of my identity. As much as my name is, really. My faith my wax at some times and wan at others, but I always know that I am loved by God, my sins and hardships and pain have been felt by Christ and He can help me through all of them. I have found redemption and security in the doctrines of the gospel and in the community surrounding it.

How I live my faith

I'm still recovering from a mean bout of depression that seriously affected every aspect of my life - school, family, and faith. I'm a behind. My participation is a little frail still, but I try to actively engage myself in my scripture reading; I ask questions and look for answers. I discuss my thoughts, doubts and hopes with my husband. I live my faith by trying to be true to the tidbits I still know and by working hard to understand more all the time.
