Hi I'm Makelle

I´m from Montana, I hate shopping, I love fishing, I´m a missionary in Spain, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Makelle, though now I go by Hermana Worthington. I was raised in Montana; born in Utah. I am the oldest of eight kids. I graduated from high school spring of 2013, and I completed my freshman year of college at Brigham Young University- Idaho studying generals. Having been raised in Montana, I LOVE just about any activity that involves the outdoors. I love hiking, fishing, camping, running, shooting, rappelling, floating, and boating! I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Spain Barcelona Spanish speaking Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know I need to be as much like Christ as I can be. I know that the words of the Book of Mormon and Bible are true. They go hand in hand. One does not replace another. They testify of Christ and the things that we must do to be like Him and return to our loving Heavenly Father. I say return because we lived with Him before. He sent us to this Earth to gain a physical body, and to go through trials, sorrow, and temptation so that we may know right from wrong, and learn from our mistakes. We must constantly try to do our best to be continually progressing in this life. To love and serve our brothers as Christ would.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in my ward's meetings and activities. I use my talent of piano playing as the ward pianist/organist. I play the hymns for sacrament meeting as well as any ward activity we have throughout the week and gospel doctrine class which I also teach! I love having the opportunity to serve the ward with my talents and skills. I gain so much from the time I spend preparing lessons and songs. Music has a special spirit to it, and if feel that every time I play a hymn. Singing and playing the words and notes to the hymns, I feel the Spirit testify that the words are true, and my testimony is strengthened with every song. Preparing lessons for sunday school is such a blessing also. It helps me learn more about the gospel and gain a deeper understanding of the things I will be teaching about on my mission.
