Hi I'm Charlie Hensley

I'm from a small southern town, I'm a high school senior, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from the small town of Haleyville, Alabama. I'm a convert to the church, since the first minute I was introduced to the church, I knew it was where I wanted to be. I love almost anything to with sports, especially with the Auburn Tigers (War Eagle!). I'm a senior in high school, after high school I plan on attending Middle Tennessee State University and becoming an air traffic controller.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon? I could write a book about this. I'm a former Evangelical, and while I had much joy in this, I always knew something was missing. Once I found the church, I could greatly feel Heavenly Father's love and presence within the building, and the people who attended there. From an early age, I knew I was love by Heavenly Father and it has been my life goal to find the right way and place to worship him, and I have found just that and much more in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Most importantly, I'm a Mormon because I feel it contains everything my Heavenly Father wants of me during this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be who my Heavenly Father has asked me to be. By giving more, and asking for less. I like to do everything I can to lead people to the loving arms of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I try to follow the commandments the Lord has given, such as the word of wisdom, etc.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Charlie Hensley
If you ask any Mormon, they would tell you they've been asked "Do you worship Joseph Smith?" many many times. The answer is no, we worship God the Father, and his son Jesus Christ. We view Joseph Smith as a prophet of God just as the prophets from the bible. Show more Show less
