Hi I'm Heidi

I'm a wife. I'm a daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of three siblings, one brother and two sisters. One of my sisters has special needs and brings a peaceful spirit to our family. Her example of Christ-like love has always inspired me to love those around me. Growing up in the church we are taught that families can be together forever. I am beyond grateful for the blessing of knowing that I can be with my family forever. My husband is currently training to become a Marine. We both are anxiously looking forward to one day having a family our own.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life and have often times wondered why I was still a member. I remember when I was twelve I went through a "rebellious phase" and wanted to rebel against the church. I tried so hard to get myself to go against the church, but never could do it and didn't know why. Looking back on this experience I finally understand why I couldn't do it. I couldn't rebel because every part of me knew the church was true. One of my favorite things about the church is you can know of its truthfulness at any age. I was lucky enough to have known this starting at a young age. To this day I know of its truthfulness and can never imagine my life without the church.

How I live my faith

I believe one of the greatest ways of showing your faith is by living it when one else is around. It is easy to put up a front when someone is watching you, but when no one is around is where your true faith shows. I try to show my faith in every aspect of my life, in the movies I watch, in the things I say, in the way I spend my free time by myself. I live this way not because my religion tells me to, but because I want to. I know that living this way will bring me closer to my Father in Heaven.
