Hi I'm Aryn

I'm from Utah and I love to be with my Family. I'm so grateful for the Church in my life. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Music is a huge part of me, I play the piano and sing. I just finished my associates degree and will be serving a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the Montana Billings Mission. I am excited for this opportunity to serve the Lord and help invite his children to come back to the fold of the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Some may think that I am a member because my parents are members. I am not a member because of my parents, I am a member because I know that this church is the only True Church on the earth today. I am so thankful for the Prophet Joseph Smith to have the faith and courage to pray to our Father in Heaven and to ask which church was the true one to follow. I am very grateful for the faithful Pioneer men and women who had the faith to come thousand of miles to the Salt Lake Valley so we could practice our religion freely. I am so thankful for this Gospel and for the way it has impacted my life for the better.

How I live my faith

In my Ward, I have been a sub in the four year old class. They are so fun to teach and it is amazing how much they already know about the Gospel. The gospel is so simple to them and it helps me to remember to have faith like them. Other than that I don't have a permanent calling since I am waiting for my mission but I do look forward to serving the members and nonmembers of the Montana.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Aryn
Women of the church are amazing. They are able to meet together each Sunday to learn more from each other. There is definitely equality among men and women of the church. The men have their responsibilities and the women have theirs. They are separate duties but they are both equally important in the church's point of view and in Heavenly Fathers as well. Without the different responsibilities among men and women, the church would not function as well as it has. Upon researching more on this topic, I found a quote by on of the Apostles Elder Dallin H. Oaks, he says, "In the eyes of God whether in the church or in the family Women and Men are equal with different responsibilities." I think this sums up this question, when we are focused on our responsibilities as women we will be able to accept the differences that the men have and are more able to help build the Kingdom of God on earth.
