Hi I'm Olmarilis Rivera

I'm from Aibonito, Puerto Rico and currently serving a mission in the California, Los Angeles mission at the Visitor's Center.

About Me

I was born in a small town called Aibonito in Puerto Rico. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I like to help people no matter who they are. I LOVE to dance (it's one of my hobbies), listen to music, go to the movies, sing, read and lots of other things. When I was 2 years old my parents met the missionaries so I grew up in the church. When the time was right, and through prayer and a lot of scripture study I decided to serve a full time mission. In July 30th I opened my mission call and Heavenly Father sent me to serve in the California, Los Angeles Mission. I'm grateful for this opportunity to serve my Lord and bring others to Him. Has been such a great blessing !

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I decided to find for my self if the things that the leaders and the missionaries shared with me were true. I know now that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and that President Thomas S. Monson had been called to guide us in this period of time. I know that the Book of Mormon is another book of sacred scriptures that help us to understand our purpose and the plan that God created for us before we were born.

How I live my faith

I love to read the scriptures every day and share what I learn with others. I try to apply the teachings of Jesus Christ in my life and also the words of the prophets and apostles. Being on my mission has helped me to share the gospel with every person that I see on the street and answer some questions that they may have. The most a share my testimony the most I feel God's hands helping me. I live my faith by doing what God wants me to do and serving my brothers and sisters.
