Hi I'm Jake

I grew up in West Jordan, Utah. I'm a film maker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Jake Lowry. I'm currently serving an LDS mission in Ciudad, Obregon, Mexico for two years. I will return to Utah after two years, to go to Utah State University where I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering with an Emphasis in Aerospace. I am also a amateur film maker. My friends and I have been making short films for over six years, and we plan to keep it as a main interest and hobby in the future. I'm also a pianist. I have been playing for over ten years and love to play Jazz and Blues.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have been born and raised in this gospel. I am also Mormon because I feel and know of the Savior's love for me and I know that this is His church. I choose to be a Mormon because I love this gospel. I love how much it has taught me, and everything it has taught me, I know to be true. This is the true church and every step of the way, I know Heavenly Father is there watching and helping me along.

How I live my faith

At church, I participate in some of the scouting activities that our scout troops perform, such as cleaning up around the neighborhood, helping the seniors in our ward, and weeding the church grounds. I love doing service for those who cannot do it themselves. This past year, four friends and I built a support harness for a fellow student who required the use of crutches to walk. The harness allowed him to walk without the assistance of crutches, leaving his hands free to work (he loved working on cars).
