Hi I'm James

Husband, father and convert of the church!

About Me

I am married to a great woman who is always helping me learn to be better and a father of two kids. I grew up moving a lot because my dad was in the military. I grew up with a stutter, and have improved over the years as I grown up and have taken speech therapy. My family is the most important thing to me in my life. And they are what make me the most happiest. I have no hobbies right now, mostly cause I work two jobs to provide the needs for them.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is this church makes me important. I feel excepted, and loved, and that is how our Heavenly Father wants us all to feel like. I joined the church right after I graduated high school, I am thankful for the missionaries that were patient with me and welling to help me in my struggles. How I came to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days is true, is one of the times the missionaries asked to me to pray on my own and ask God if the church is true. That same evening I prayed and a couples days later, I was in my room working on homework and my thoughts had changed from my homework to church. I saw words scrolling in my head that read "This church is true", and I felt a rushing of wind through my body from my head to my feet. Right then and there, I received an answer to my prayer.

How I live my faith

When I am able to, my family and I get involved with service projects in the community and thru our church. I like going to scout camp with my son and being a teachers aid in my daughters class. One service project that really had an impact on me, our congregation took turns going over to a Lutheran church that was sheltering people dearing the winter time, and we would help out doing different things for these people. It was great, I felt really good for what I was doing! My son and I visit a family in our church and make sure they are physically and spiritually doing well.
