Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Kaysville, Ut. I'm a composer and percussionist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have three sisters, a mom and a dad. My parents are divorced, but I see my dad often. I graduated High School and plan on going to college. I'm a composer and a percussionist which I hope to pursue as a career. I love to hang out with my family and friends especially when it's warm outside.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members when I was born. I was raised in this church since then. I've come to realize the light and joy this church brings. I testify it is the restored gospel on this earth. I testify the priesthood keys were restored through Joseph Smith, a young man who did indeed see Heavenly Father and Jesus and who translated the Book of Mormon which was hidden for many centuries. I testify of the reality of living prophets. They can and do receive revelation to guide us in these latter days. I testify staying on the straight and narrow path leads to happiness and peace. Though life is not always easy I testify Christ will help comfort and aid us through this mortal life because of the infinite atonement he preformed purely out of his love for us.

How I live my faith

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am serving a two-year mission in the Phoenix, Arizona mission.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We live the doctrine of Christ. We have several values and standards but we do not perceive them as rules that bind us. We perceive them as guidelines which lead to happiness, light, and joy. We're normal people trying to live a life that brings us happiness. Several of us probably enjoy many of the things you enjoy yourself. Family is an essential part of this life and Heavenly Father's plan. We are always happy to answer any other questions you may have about our lifestyle and church. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mormons are not required to serve missions. We are however asked to spread the gospel to "all nations". We are not asked to force people to live this gospel, but we are asked to invite. As far as serving a full time or part time mission. Most young men are asked to serve a mission when they are 18 or 19 years old. Many accept this calling, however it is not a "requirement" to accept. Show more Show less
