Hi I'm Joshua

I was born in Texas, and raised in Maryland,Virginia, and Utah. I recently received my mission call to Singapore. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from Texas, but I have lived many other places as well. I switched schools around 8 times growing up; it was both a trial and a blessing. My family has been with me through it all, and I don't what I would do without them. My favorite hobbies are soccer, basketball, camping, and playing music. I have been in a couple of different rock bands and have come to appreciate most genres of music. I don't know what I want to major in, and I'm not sure what I would like to do for a career either, but life is still good and I know it will all work out in the end.

Why I am a Mormon

I read and pray every day. When I pray I have no doubt someone is listening to me. Someone is not only listening to what I am saying, but is speaking back to me. That voice that is speaking to me is our Heavenly Father. I have asked Him if this church is true, if The Book of Mormon is true, and I ask Him anything else I have concerns with. The answers always come, in His time and in His way. I have received the answer multiple times that this church is true and I will ask anytime doubts come because I am the last one who wants to be tied down by some hoakie religion. The church is true! Find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I try to start everyday with a prayer asking God what He would like me to do, and to put me in a situation where I can serve someone. Then throughout my day I act on any impressions I had during my prayer or while I am going about. I make sure to read the scriptures everyday and I seek to apply them in my life. At night I kneel before I go to bed and thank God all He has done for me, ask for advice or help with things I struggle with, and ask for forgiveness for my sins and strength to overcome the temptations I am faced with. Soon I will be leaving for the Singapore Mission speaking Mandarin Chinese. I look forward to teaching and serving the people there.
