Hi I'm Dalton

I'm serving in the Massachusetts, Boston mission, I played college baseball in Minnesota, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am an avid outdoorsman. I love fly fishing with my buddies and laughing until our abs start to burn. I love playing sports, baseball being my favorite. I was a three-year varsity letterman in high school and so far have also played my one year in college. This past year I chose to travel to Minnesota to play college baseball and attend school. I would like to major in either Wildlife Sciences or Music Engineering. As of now, both are equally appealing. I have been called to serve in the Boston MA mission in August 2014 and will be serving the people humbly. After my mission I plan to attend Utah State University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I believe Christ and Heavenly Father love us. They have an eternal plan for us and Jesus Christ died for our sins. I believe that if we take his name upon us, we can be saved through him to return with our Father again. I know that God put a prophet on this earth and that the gospel has been restored. I know that the scriptures are true and the things said in them are true. I believe that pieces of the gospel have always been floating around on earth but that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the sacred grove and that he brought around the restoration of the true church.

How I live my faith

I try to go to church every week and attend all my meetings. I have managed to get in the habit of praying each night to my Father in heaven and am constantly working on communicating with him more and more each day. I try to read my scriptures everyday or at least some form of writing that the church puts out to help bring the spirit into my life. I have spent a year being a special needs mutual friend, which is where I would go once a day every week during the school year to a church building and hand out and spend time with a man who had special needs. His name was Levere and he was the one of the most genuine and happy people one could imagine to meet. He blessed my life and I hope I was able to bless his as well in some way. For the past year I have been attending college in Minnestota where the gospel is not as prevalent, so I was on my own compared to how the gospel is in Utah. But I was able to live my life in such a way that others would notice a light around me (not physically) of happiness and being positive.
