Hi I'm David

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I love to play the guitar and the piano. I am serving in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in Utah my whole life, and because of this I have come to love the outdoors. I spend a lot of my time skiing in the winter, and exploring the different types of natural beauty that exist in Utah during the summer months. I've been drawn to music from a young age and it has become a huge part of who I am. I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old and have continued to play up until this point. I recently started playing the guitar and it has quickly become one of my favorite instruments. I also play the drums and other percussion instruments. I just graduated from high school and am planning on going to BYU after I serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church my whole life. For a long time I relied on the testimony of my parents and those around me, but with time and through specific experiences I have come to gain a testimony of my own of the gospel. I have prayed and read my scriptures, and through my own desire and faith I have developed a strong belief in the Church and its teachings. I recognize and respect all other religions because I have seen what they teach and believe, and I know there is truth in what is preached. I have also come to recognize and believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holds the whole truth.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my ward and I participate in all my church meetings. This includes attending church services on Sunday, participating in weekly youth activities, and fulfilling home-teaching and other callings. At one point I was called to help kids in our area with special needs by being a mentor and a friend to a specific special needs youth. Me and others assigned to the same calling would have activities in which we would help the special needs kids get to better know one another and express themselves in a safe environment. I try to be a good example of my faith whenever I am around others. I do this by maintaining the standards set by the church, expressing love to the people I meet, and sharing the knowledge that I have of the church to those who do not know or who are confused about our teachings.
