Hi I'm Elder Kaiden Kelly!

I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the California Roseville mission!

About Me

I love to play the guitar and be around people. I played on my high school golf team and was apart of a service club at my school. I have 3 younger brothers, two of whom are twins and in high school; the other being younger and just started 5th grade.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I believe in Him, and try my very best to follow Him because I believe He "hast the words of eternal life." (John 6:68) He governs and directs the affairs this Church, it is His after all. I believe this is the same organization Christ established in His day, calling men, disciples if you will, giving them "power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease." (Matthew 10:1) I have felt of His love and mercy and know that it is extended to all men and women everywhere who call upon Him in humility and love! Being a Mormon goes far beyond being a "Mormon", it signifies to Heavenly Father that you love Him and are willing to follow His Son, Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon means I am "willing to bear one another's burdens, that they may be light; yea, and am willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that [I] may be in, even until death" (The Book of Mormon, Mosiah 18:8-9). It is such a blessing to know that as I follow Jesus Christ the best I can, Heavenly Father will bless me with insurmountable happiness! Such a blessing is extended to all men and women!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what Christ has taught (or at least trying my very best to do so); I believe Christ has taught us to live a charitable life above all else. "And now abideth faith, hope, and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." (1 Corinthians 13:13) I have the opportunity to dedicate my life to Christ and being charitable by being on my mission, but it extends far beyond my current obligations and opportunities. How can one be charitable? "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) To be charitable is to love our God, to believe in Him and trust that He will take care of us. It means we love our neighbor by treating them as we would ourselves. Not coveting, but living continually in thanksgiving. I am trying to gain these qualities as I learn more of Christ! I know it is important to try to live this way!
