Hi I'm Chris Clarkson

I live in Somerset, England. I've just been called to serve a 2-year mission in the Rostov-na-Donu Mission in Russia.

About Me

I'm Chris. I love rugby, and sports in general! I've just been called to serve in the Rostov-na-Donu Mission in Russia, so am currently spending a lot of time learning the Russian language and preparing to serve. I just finished my education: I studied Maths, Physics, and Computers. I hope to become a teacher when I am older, and would like to study at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not just Mormon because I was born one. I chose to be a Mormon because this is what I believe is the true church. When I was around 15, I made the choice to keep coming to church, even though I found it boring, and a chore, I carried on coming because I listened to what my heart was telling me, and I knew that all the things I have been taught are true. I do not have a huge spiritual experience, or a manifestation of any greatness, but what I do have is a testimony comprised of many smaller spiritual experiences that I have had over the years that constitute my testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following gods commandments, and listening to the words spoken by the prophets.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Chris Clarkson
The answer to this question is simply no. Every year, we have a day called 'Helping Hands day' where members of the Mormon church in my stake will go out of their way for one day to take on a large task that a few people would not be able to handle. One Helping hands day that springs to memory was when we went and cleared out a 2-Acre-sized field that was full of nettles, weeds, and unwanted trees. It took hours to clear, and many of us got stung a bunch of times. But seeing how it effected people made the whole day worth it. Show more Show less
