Hi I'm Stewart

I play that big tuba thing. I love to laugh, play sports, lover of life, and am currently attending BYU majoring in Construction.

About Me

I grew up in the best place possible! In a San Diego suburb, Vista, California. I was raised in Vista for a good 18 years of my life and loved it all. I walked the length of the beaches of Carlsbad and Oceanside when I was 5 years old(Apparently with out the consent of my parents but I got picked up by a police jeep which was pretty sick), I won 2nd place in Chess Club when I was in elementary school, During the middle school years I participated in football (Heck, I participated so well that I got a participation trophy with out ever really playing), ran track and cross country in high school, and also participated in the marching band playing that big tuba thing. I also had the amazing opportunity to be a member of Best Buddies for a year in which I pretty much hung out with an awesome kid with special disabilities. I was fortunate enough to attend my freshman year at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where I studied Music Performance. In Provo I enjoyed playing sports, being in the marching band, going to in-n-out after midnight, and bro-nights playing video games and watching movies(Education is in there too somewhere) . After that wonderful year of schooling, I finally got the opportunity to serve a 2-year mission for my church with the call to go to Colorado Springs speaking Spanish. I was then fortunate to spend 6 weeks of my missionary training in the heart of Mexico City to learn Spanish and how to be a missionary. Now, all I do is serve and teach in Colorado!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel and I know how much I have been blessed by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love having so much scripture available to me at all times to help me receive answers to prayers and dive into the Good Word! Not only does my religion make me who I am but it also helps me be able to become the best I can be. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can make changes everyday to help me become a better servant to the Lord. Every. Single. Day. Sick, right? Being a Mormon is just plain cool.

How I live my faith

Everyday I live to be the best I can be. That is how I live my life! Life is hard and I can in no way say that I am anywhere close to perfect. But, I have accepted that and now try to be perfect in trying. The best way I have learned to live my faith is to just love people. It is people that make my life as amazing as it is. I laugh all the time and love making others laugh. I go to church every week and try to fulfill any calling I receive. Currently, I'm mainly living my life as a missionary inviting others to come unto Christ. My faith is a lifestyle that I plan to pursue forever.
