Hi I'm Cole Dickson

I grew up in Logan, Utah. I am the third of five children and I enjoy playing basketball and golf. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am leaving to serve a two year mission in the Dominican Republic on July 30, 2014. I have been a member of the church my whole life and I'm proud of it. I plan to attend Utah State University following my mission to further my education and cheer on my Aggies. I love to talk to people and get to know them better. I enjoy vacationing at Lake Powell and doing things outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of the many witnesses I have received in my life that it is true. I may have started out in this church because my family were members, but I had to gain my own knowledge and testimony of its truthfulness. I know without any doubt that the Book of Mormon is the word of god. He used ancient prophets and apostles as messengers to preserve those divine words for our day. Prayer is real and ottos effective. God listens to our prayers and he knows each of us by name. The atonement of Jesus Christ is real, he atoned for every one of our sins because he loves us and he trusted in his fathers plan. We are able to repent of our sins and wrongdoings by only one way. Jesus Christ is not our last chance, he is our only chance. Without his atoning sacrifice we wouldn't be able return to our father in heaven, but through him we can repent and be perfected. Thomas S Monson is a true, living prophet on the earth today. He communicates directly with God and provides witnesses and warnings from on high. Missionary work is the will of The Lord. We must share this gospel with every ear who would hear what we have to say. The Holy Ghost is a comforter to me and a constant companion as long as we keep our eye single to the will of The Lord. I know this church is true. There is no way I'd dedicate two years of my life to share a message that I didn't know to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my example. An old saying says actions speak louder than words and that's how I feel about my religion. It's one thing to say you'll live it, but another to actually do it. I try to be an example to anybody I meet by making them feel welcome and comfortable. Whether they are a church member or not, God loves them unconditionally and I try to help them feel that love by being an instrument in he hands of The Lord at all times, in all things and in all places.
