Hi I'm Lora Evans

I am a college student studying to be an ethno botanist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying to become an ethno botanist. I plan to focus my studies on the way cultures have used plants medicinally for centuries. I love dogs, horses, and most animals, but I'm not a cat person. I enjoy bicycling, rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, singing, baking, playing piano, and playing with my siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, but when I was around 10 years old I decided I need to learn for myself whether the church was true or not. I prayed for a long time (or, at least it felt like a long time to me), asking Heavenly Father if the church was true. I didn't realize I had my answer at first, but then I realized that the peaceful feeling I got at church, or when I was reading my scriptures, was the Spirit. Since then, I have been blessed with so many moments where the Spirit told me that the church is true and that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me. I wouldn't be a part of this church if I didn't know in my heart that it is the truth.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary for the church, meaning I'm devoting nearly two years of my life to serve the Lord and help bring others to Christ.
