Hi I'm Deirdre

I love art of all forms. Science and religion support each other so well and I am fascinated by that. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an artist, I love to draw. I love Japan and have since I was about 11. I will be serving a full-time mission in Japan starting August 20th. I couldn't be happier. I have a wonderful boyfriend, who is waiting for me while I serve our loving Heavenly Father. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and baptized when I was 8 years old, but it was just something I did cause it's what my parents expected. when I was about 14 I stopped believing in the gospel and I stopped attending church when I was 17. I was very anti-religion, I partied a lot, did drugs and all sorts of other bad things. Even though I smiled a lot, I wasn't happy. It wasn't until about a year ago that I converted. I visited some very close friends of mine who are members of the church. To respect their beliefs I went to church with them and for the first time in my life I felt the spirit of God. I felt the love of my Heavenly Father and of my Savior for the first time and it changed my life. After that I made a complete 180 degree turn. I started attending church every Sunday and actually going to activities during the week. I started read scriptures daily and praying morning and night. and soon I saw the change it was making in me. I was actually Happy. I knew that through the Atonement of Christ I could be forgiven of all the bad things i'd done and I could become worthy to enter into His house and to someday dwell with Him. It's an amazing feeling knowing that no matter how bad things get, our Father will always greet us with open arms as long as we are willing to turn to Him.

How I live my faith

I like to volunteer to help those in need in my branch and I try to attend the temple multiple times a week. service is very important to me. Since I will be starting a mission soon, I have been doing a lot of preparing for that. visiting with sister missionaries and teaching investigators.
