Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Roy Utah. Played State tennis doubles. I'm currently serving a mission in Uruguay. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing tennis, and having a great time with friends. I love hiking and the outdoors. Overall, I love the thrills life has to offer, it doesn't matter how a day starts or ends, because everyone of them is thrilling and amazing to me as long as I take the time to think about what I've accomplished at the end of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church is true. My life was not the greatest to begin with I made mistakes and I didn't do the best. Growing up a member in Utah though, I was an average kid just like all the others at school and in my ward. I did what was right because my parents has taught me that's what you do and that's how life is. I kept going forward, but found myself quickly heading down uncharted courses. My friends were not horrible, but they weren't headed towards my God. One day I finally sat down and had a heart to heart with myself. It had come to the point where I had to decide was this church I had grown up in all a fraud and waste of my time, or was it true. My testimony was not strong, but that day I decided to pray. Through it the holy ghost started to remind me of different experiences in my life where I felt God's love and the Lord's mercy. As he testified that all these times, all these experiences and all these moment were real, I knew and because I knew it was true I either went back to living a life on heading towards nowhere, or completely change my course heaven bound. I chose heaven and as a result my life has become hard, trying, and taxing, but even more it has become rewarding. I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true and I can never deny that I have felt it's power.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through acting as a friend to all. Talking to strangers about the gospel has not always been my forte, but as I've put my trust in the Lord daily he has loosed my tongue and helped to touch others day by day. I try to remember it's the small things that make the biggest difference, conforming with the necessities of daily prayer and scripture study, but also doing others such as watching the music I listen to. Throughout my life I've learned that whatever you environment incorporates such things always touch your life for the better or the worse. One of the biggest things I've tried to do is open up to others around me magnifying my calling. I love working as the priest quorum first assistant, learning and growing from the young men in it daily as we participate in service projects such as mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and the occasional eagle project.
