Hi I'm Haleigh Laurel

I grew up in small town Montana. I am a college student. I was three year varsity cheer leading captain. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student that is talking off the next 18 months to serve a mission. I love spending time with my family playing games, like apples to apples. I am as much as an outdoorsy girl as I am a home-body. I love spending time hiking and camping. I also could be just as happy curled up in a warm blanket watching a movie. I'm fascinated by family history and what my ancestors did in their day to day life. My biggest goal in life is to marry in the temple and have six beautiful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I know for a fact that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and everyone else. His plan for me was guided through the elders of the church that I was to serve in Puerto Rico. I also know he had a plan for as a simple farm boy, but through this farm boy the Book of Mormon was brought forth and translated, the priesthood and its keys were restored to earth, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, and holy temples began to be built. Through Joseph Smith all the ordinances and covenants the children of our Heavenly Father need for their salvation are now upon the earth. I know that he has a plan for each of us not just Joseph Smith and me, we just have to take the time to listen and show others our light and keep our covenants so they may have the chance to come unto christ as well. I know that the feeling I get in his holy houses will never be felt any where else. I am a Mormon because I know the church is true! I know the God lives and loves me personally. I know that Jesus Christ dies for so that my sins can be forgiven. I know that I can be with my family for all eternity through work done by priesthood authority in temples. It is the pure comfort of knowing that there is life after death that I will be able to see my family when they pass. I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is a testament of Christ's rein on the American Continent. I'm a Mormon because I have felt the spirit so strongly that without a doubt I know it is true.

How I live my faith

In my schooling i wasn't very lucky seeing as there was only a few members my age. Most member friends i had lived out of town. But i made sure that the friends that i developed knew that no matter what standards they lived by that i was never going to change mine for them. All that know me, know that along with being blunt i am not a shy. My friends always knew that my standards were always held in the highest regard. As we said on my cheer team even when you aren't in uniform your classmates still know you are a cheerleader. We never wanted to have their opinions changed for the bad when we weren't in uniform. Just like in the gospel I am a Latter-Day Saint 24/7 not just when I am in my church clothes on sunday. It takes all the members of the church to live their lives every day in the light of christ to show the world that we know and want to share the truth. I tried my best to make sure the choices I made that were seen by the people that knew of me, or any stranger i met on the street reflected always on what i stood for.
