Hi I'm Justin

I am a singer and a trumpet player. I love to hike and run. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up always having music and sports as part of my life. To me, good music is a way to fully enjoy and understand life. There is nothing quite like performing a well rehearsed piece of music for other people to experience and enjoy. And of course, I do enjoy my own experiences with listening to great music and enjoying good plays. At times my favorite kind of music is the silence I find while hiking and running. Time to think without other distractions has always been important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of my church long enough to know that being a Mormon is how I am going to be truly happy. The reason I truly love good music, hiking, reading my scriptures, going to church for three hours on Sunday, and serving others is that these activities help me feel close to God. Being a Mormon helps me feel God's love. This feeling is hard to explain, but it has changed my life forever. Feeling God's love has brought me comfort during distressing times. It has given me a reason to smile when I am feeling down. It has made me excited for life. It has also calmed me down and given me peace when I have been anxious or afraid.

How I live my faith

Participating in my church has been important to me from an early age. I didn't always love going to church for three hours every Sunday, but now I wouldn't miss that opportunity for anything. The more I learn about Jesus Christ and His teachings, the more I understand who I am and what my purpose is. I can go through hard things without losing hope because I know God loves me and has a plan for me. Serving others is what Jesus did best. Pretty much every thing I do in my church is focused on helping and serving others. Being a Mormon isn't always easy, but I have had so much joy because of what I have learned in my church. Jesus Christ has done, and continues to do so much for me that I want nothing more than to be the best Christian I can be. That is why I am going to fulfill a call to serve as a missionary in France Lyon. I will leave family, friends, and college for two years to dedicate my life to serving others. I want to help others understand who they are, and why they are here.
