Hi I'm George

I am 18 years old, I live in Wales, I am going to serve a mission in Greece. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just recently completed a modern apprenticeship as an office clerk in the housing department of the local government. I like to socialise with my friends and also enjoy playing video games.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young man I first gained a real belief in God whilst sitting on a beautiful hillside in Wales. It just struck me that all of this beauty and order could not be an accident. As an older teenager I attended the church activity weeks that were called Especially For Youth. Whilst there, a leader encouraged me to pray about the Book of Mormon. As I did so I felt the spirit tell me strongly that this was the word of God. There were further ups and downs for me as a young person growing up in the church, but when I was 17 I made the decision to serve a full-time mission for the church, to share the gospel with others. I have been called to serve in the Greece Athens Mission.

How I live my faith

Before leaving to serve my mission in Greece I served in my local congregation as the Sunday School President. I worked with the Sunday School teachers to make sure they had the things they needed to teach their classes. I also worked with the bishop to choose the right teachers for the right classes. I have just finished four years of early morning Seminary. This was a scripture study class that we did every weekday morning between 7am and 8am. I also attended Young Mens group on Wednesday nights where we mostly do fun activities like sports and performing arts.
