Hi I'm Kelli

I'm from the Golden State of California. I love dancing. I love the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student in my senior year of university, and will be graduating with a degree in Human Resource Management, with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I love going to the beach between classes and whenever I can find spare time. Surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, cliff jumping- if it involves the water, I'm there. When I'm on land, I spend most of my time dancing. I dance hula professionally as a way to connect with the Hawaiian culture I've come to love, and also as a way to share that love with those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in his ministry here on earth, but I believe that he had a much greater purpose than to just come here and teach. I believe that he died to atone for the sins of all those who ever have and ever will come to Earth, so that we could return one day, clean and pure and full of knowledge, to live with our Father in Heaven. People always assume that the reason I am a Mormon is because my father is a Mormon, or because his father was a Mormon. This is not the case. I am a Mormon because this religion has brought me peace, has given me a purpose, has taught me to be a better version of the person I always thought I was. I am a Mormon because I know that when I pray, my Heavenly Father answers. I am a Mormon because I believe.

How I live my faith

I live in a "college town". This means that most of the people that live in my town are currently attending university, work for the university, or are somehow affiliated with the university. Many of the university students also attend the same church as me. Although I am young, and still learning everyday, I live my faith by helping my fellow students to remember theirs. I strive to be a strong example for them, and to serve them in as many ways as possible. I work closely with the women in my congregation, helping them adjust to moving away from home, making new friends, and living the Hawaiian lifestyle. I know that my Father in Heaven has given me a great opportunity to live my faith, by trusting me to watch over and guide his daughters.
