Hi I'm Tamie Anderson

I grew up in California. I'm a mom of 3 little ones. I'm a registered dental hygienist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now my main interest and greatest love is being a mom. I have 2 girls ages 4 and 2 and a 5 week old son. Although being a mom is challenging it is the most rewarding and worthwhile thing I've ever done. I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in dental hygiene. I worked part time for 4-5 years as a dental hygienist but decided to quit and be a full time mom, which is a decision I have never regretted. My hobbies included crafting, being active (I especially love playing volleyball), reading, gardening, raising chickens, and spending time outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a Mormon family where I was taught about the Gospel of Jesus Christ growing up. When I was 12 years old I decided to read The Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ, to find out for myself whether the gospel was true. When I finished reading it I followed Moroni's promise to see if the Book of Mormon was true by praying and asking God if it was true. I immediately felt a warm, happy, peaceful feeling come over me. I knew then that this book was true and during my teenage years I was able to gain a testimony of so many other truths, which have grown even more today. I know that we have a loving, kind Heavenly Father who's greatest work is for us to return and live with Him forever. I know that His son Jesus Christ is my Savior and loves me so much that He was willing to die and suffer for me so that I can live forever. I know that God loves each and everyone of us equally and more than we can comprehend. He loves us no matter our faults, weaknesses or sins. I know that through our Savior's Atonement we can overcome these weaknesses we all have and can be forgiven of whatever sins we may have committed. I know that the power of God is on the earth again and it is called the Priesthood. I'm grateful for the Priesthood which has blessed me and my family in the temple where I have been sealed to them for all time and eternity. Knowing all of this means everything to me because it helps me know why I'm here on Earth and gives me hope of life after death.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of working with the youth and their immediate leaders in my area. I am more specifically a secretary so I attend meetings where I help plan fun, wholesome events for our youth in the region. I also have the privilege of visiting 4 incredible women each month to see how they are doing and letting them know I care about them and am there for them.
