Hi I'm Mark F.Thomas

I was raised on a Family farm near the community of Grace, Idaho. I am a retired Army Officer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

After serving a mission to Denmark, I graduated from college and was drafted into the military. Before entering Officer Candidate School, I married my best friend. I received my military commission and served in Washington D.C, Vietnam, Germany and Korea. I have 4 children and 18 grandchildren. My wife and I have been called to serve a mission for the LDS Church (Mormon) in Guam for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a strong Latter Day Saint home and community. Even with this background I found it necessary to find out for myself if the Gospel is true. As a teenager I attended Church instruction and read the Book of Mormon. I received my own witness...the Spirit bore testimony to me that the Book was true. I have been an active member in the LDS Church, served in many capacities and tried my best to be a good example of what I believe in. It has been my privilege to have several friends and neighbors learn about and accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be baptized.

How I live my faith

I believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. I have been active in youth groups, one of which was as a professional with the Boy Scouts of America. I have taught Sunday School Youth Groups and enjoyed other responsibilities in over 28 congregations throughout my adult life.
