Hi I'm Amy

I am a happily married, mother of one, and part of a family that loves to laugh! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for thirteen years, this is my second marriage. My son is a young adult and is serving a full-time mission in England. My family and I love to spend time together. We're avid sports fans and enjoy skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't always been an active member of the church. There was a time I felt a bit lost and not sure what direction I wanted to go. After my divorce I made my way back to regular church attendance and soon realized that's where I wanted my son and I to be. It wasn't much longer that I met my husband and we were married. My small family has remained active in the church and though we've had our challenges as everyone does, we're extremely happy. I know that God lives! I know that he knows me and loves me and wants me to be happy. I see his hand in my life in so many ways on a daily basis. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and Joseph Smith to be a true prophet. When I share my testimony, pray or talk of things that are of a spiritual nature, I have a swelling inside my chest and well up in tears. I know that is the Holy Ghost testifying to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true!

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church service each week and come away feeling peace and fulfillment. I learn so much from others and their experiences. I try to follow special feelings to check in with others that I may not interact with on a regular basis, and always leave better for it. I've gained a better understanding of Relief Society, the women's organization in our church, and how it is truly to provide love, care and relief to all women.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true by meeting with the missionaries, allowing them to teach you the principles of the gospel, then praying about what they are teaching you to know if it is truth. By reading the Book of Mormon and the Joseph Smith History, you can understand more about the gospel, and pray to receive an answer or a testimony. Show more Show less
