Hi I'm Lenae

I grew up in Utah. I am studying to be an Athletic Trainer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers and I sit right in the middle. I love sports, especially soccer. In high school I was on the cross country, track and field, and color guard teams. I am by no means an amazing athlete but I didn't want to give up on sports which has led me to begin studying athletic training at Brigham Young University. My dream job would be to be a stand-up comedian but my parents said I should aim for something "practical". Something about needing to actually make a living. In my spare time I enjoy running, baking, dancing, and hanging out with friends. My favorite thing in the world is the beach; hopefully one day I can live somewhere where it's not so out of reach. I love finding beauty in everything around me. I mean, I couldn't live in the mountains for a huge amount of time but man are they pretty.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both LDS so I was raised in the church. Even with this background, though, it is still my choice to follow the gospel. I am a Mormon because of the feeling I get being a part of this church. Every time I read the scriptures, go to the temple, or attend sacrament meeting I feel a spirit of love. I know that my savior loves me. I know that he died for me so that I can be cleansed from my sins and live with my Father in Heaven again, and I know that this is the church and the gospel that will lead me there. I wouldn't keep trying to follow His teachings if I didn't know that it was true. To me being a Mormon means that I follow the example of Jesus Christ and that as long as I do this I will never be alone. The Lord is always with me through his spirit. He guides me when I don't know what to do and he comforts me when I feel like giving up. Life is hard, everyone know that, but with Christ I know that I can always get through whatever life throws at me. When I turn to the Lord and to the scriptures I can find peace. Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." I know that this is tu

How I live my faith

Living in a ward of college students is great because we have so many activities where I can spend time with other people who have the same beliefs and standards as I do. Every week we have a "family" home evening where we get together in groups and have a spiritual thought and an activity. The people in my group aren't really my family but it feels like family because of the love we have for each other. Outside of church I like to volunteer at the elementary school near my home helping kids with their homework after school. I really enjoy this because I get to know the kids and the feeling I get when I am helping them is something you can only get from serving.
