Hi I'm Sister Kaitlyn Cooper

I love dancing, running, creating, laughing, and doing anything under the Sun.

About Me

If you should know one thing about me is that you should always expect the unexpected. I am a unique and strange, but I embrace it. I am a representative of Jesus Christ serving my mission in the beautiful garden state of New Jersey. I love meeting so many different people and becoming a part of their life as they become a part of mine. I have always been creative minded, and I love to express myself through my creations. Whether it is crafts, food, dance, art...you will always find me making something. I want to do all I can to help the people around me, and I hope to one day to be a family counselor so I can help families over come challenges to be united and happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am very independent and love to experiment and test things out for myself. The biggest thing I love to experiment is the gospel. I am a strong believer that we as we constantly acting on our faith and using different catalyst (praying, scriptures, church, obedience to commandments, etc.) we become closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ, and our loving Heavenly Father. All growing up I was told that I need to pray and know if the Book of Mormon is true and if Christ's church has been restored. I took this challenged and prayed. I testify with all my heart that the Kingdom of God is back on the earth today and that we are able to access all that Christ has done for us and return back home to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking on the calling as a full time missionary in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. I have come to see that as we act on spiritual promptings we act on our faith. As we act on these promptings we are able to do and be who ever God needs us to be. I love being able to see the spirit change people as I serve them and give all of my heart to them. As a missionary I have come to know God.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Sister Kaitlyn Cooper
The missionaries are representatives of Jesus Christ. They will talk to you about Christ, and His Atonement. No matter what we are going through the Savior is able to help us. The missionaries will help you see, and feel that. They will help you understand the plan that God has for you, and how to return back into his presence. Show more Show less

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Sister Kaitlyn Cooper
Just as the Bible, the Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture. It is actually another Testiment of Jesus Christ. The difference is that the Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealings with the people that lived in the Americas from about 600 B.C to 400 A.D. The Book starts with Lehi's family that lived in Jerusalem. Because Jerusalem was going to be destroyed they fled into the wilderness, and over time traveled by boat to the Americas. A civilization grew there over the next 1000 years. To protect the writings the last prophet, Moroni, who wrote in the Book burried it in the ground as God directed him. In 1820, Joseph Smith was visited by this same Moroni. Moroni showed him where the record was buried. With God's help Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon into English. Now each of us can have this Book and read even more of the word of God. As we read this powerful testament, and pray about it, we will know that Jesus Christ is our personal Savior.
