Hi I'm Amanda

I read anytime I get the chance. I love to travel and see new places. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am studying to become a neuroscientist because almost all my family has Alzhiemers. I love to play Ukelele and any sport that isn't basketball. I have always wanted to have a library in my house one day with one shelf just for my Harry Potter books. I love to draw portraits in-between classes and make pottery in weekends. I like to travel and find airports the best place to meet awesome (only strange at the time) people. I've lived in Oklahoma, Maryland, New Mexico, and Florida and I can't wait to get my PhD in Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I always grew up with missionaries because we owned the local bike shop and they needed new tires (or something) and they would play with me and my brother. When I was 10 my mom finally agreed to let them talk to us, well I found that what they said just felt right. I was a little girl so I decided to test God and I asked him (while riding a bike- closing my eyes) if he could show me where the crystal was that I lost in my gravel driveway. I promptly ran into a fence and fell off my bike right where my crystal was, from then on I went to church every Sunday. It sounds silly, but ever since I find peace and love in the church. I fell out of the church for a few years, but even when I came back it still felt like home. Being a member of the LDS church continually makes me happy and helps me to feel like I am loved always.

How I live my faith

I try to find a way to serve others in as many ways as possible like helping the neighbors lay flooring or walking dogs at the animal shelter. Service is fulfilling and I love it. I enjoy leading the young women at church and teaching the girls about Christ.
